About the Job

As a member of 50CAN’s Operations team, the Operations & Technology Manager will play a central role in enhancing our human resources, operations and technology systems to ensure an exceptional level of support for the organization.  He or she will report to 50CAN’s Senior Vice President of Operations. This is an extraordinary opportunity to help build the next great American education organization. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, amazingly driven and entrepreneurial.

  • Experience with human resources, including benefits administration
  • Technology knowledge and comfort using Mac based operating systems 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with multiple and varied assignments 
  • Undergraduate degree
  • At least two to three years work experience

Key Responsibilities

Operations

  • Organize and facilitate all procedures and activities for setting up and maintaining national and state offices. 
  • Manage 50CAN’s business insurance.
  • Create strong relationships with vendors and work with the Finance & Operations Associate to ensure that they are paid on time.

Technology

  • Effectively manage 50CAN’s relationship with our IT service provider.
  • Work with our IT service provider to assist in the IT setup/support of offices.
  • Ensure employees are well trained on all of 50CAN’s technology. 
  • Coordinate the speedy resolution of IT issues.
  • Consistently research and implement IT opportunities, strategies and norms that enhance business performance, communication and culture (including a virtual culture). 

Human Resources

  • Manage 50CAN’s benefits. 
  • Manage on-boarding and termination policies and procedures. 
  • Work with the Operations Team on promoting 50CAN culture.
  • Maintain employee files. 
  • Work with the Senior Vice President to quickly resolve day-to-day employee HR issues as they arise.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. This position is based in New York City or Washington D.C. (preferred).  50CAN offers a comprehensive benefits package.
